Hostel Rules & Regulations

• Quiet Hours: Quiet hours (usually from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) must be observed to ensure an uninterrupted environment for study and rest.
• Visitors: Visitors are not allowed in the hostel rooms. Any visits to the hostel must be approved in advance, and visiting hours should be strictly followed (e.g., 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
  A visitors pass is mandatory during visiting hours.

Entry and Exit

• Curfew: Students must return to the hostel by the specified curfew (e.g., 7:00 PM on weekdays, 8:00 PM on weekends). Late entry is not allowed unless under special circumstances. Permission for Leave: Students need to seek written permission from the warden to go out of the hostel for personal reasons.

Safety & Security

• Identity Cards: Students must always carry their hostel and college ID cards and wear them when in the hostel or the college.
• Lockers: Valuables should be kept in the designated lockers. The hostel is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• Fire Safety: Students must familiarize themselves with fire exits, fire drills, and emergency protocols.

Prohibited Activities

• Alcohol/Drugs: Consumption of alcohol, smoking, and use of drugs is strictly prohibited.
• Weapons: Bringing any sharp objects or weapons into the hostel is prohibited.
• Misbehaviour: Bullying, harassment, or any form of misconduct will result in disciplinary action.
• Mess Timetable: The mess timings are structured to ensure students receive proper meals, taking into account their study schedules.

Dress Code

Comfortable, modest clothing such as

• Casual Wear:T-shirts, leggings, or pajamas is allowed for lounging or rest time within the hostel.
• Nightwear: Appropriate nightwear such as pajamas, nightgowns, or other decent clothing should be worn in the rooms. However, nightwear should never be worn outside the room.

Discipline and Penalties

After 4 PM, students are not allowed to go to the canteen without obtaining proper permission from the hostel warden. Any student found in the canteen without prior approval will be subject to disciplinary action. The hostel gate closes at 6 PM, so please ensure you return before this time.

Attendance: week days usually the curfew is around 7.30pm -8.00pm

Special Considerations

"Students wishing to travel alone or in groups during vacation must obtain proper permission and submit a letter of approval from their parents to the hostel warden."

Do not go for vacation if you have not submitted your approval letter.

Celebrations

Festival celebrations and social events can be organized but must be pre-approved by the hostel authorities.
